Kinko the Klown on coulrophobia and the new IT remake

On the website Complex, the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus ‘s favorite clown Kinko opines about the new movie IT remake In case you weren’t aware, a huge portion of Coulrophobia (fear of clowns) can be traced to this one movie (and the original Stephen King book).

Once the remake is released, I’m guessing even more!

Here’s the trailer of the new movie IT remake to scare the bejeebus out of you.

Kinko (out of costume, he’s Keith Nelson) is  a great person to talk about this kind of stuff, because he’s been working as an “adult” clown for years, performing in clubs, and bars, running for President, and performing at family events to, including circuses, parties, and Boy Scout jamborees (Keith is among many other things, an actual Eagle Scout)

Keith has some great things to say about the movie IT remake, coulrophobia, the 2016 creepy clown phenomenon, and the guys that taught him it was okay to put on makeup (that august body includes Tim Curry, Gene Simmons, Alice Cooper and Emmett Kelly)
Here’s my favorite quote from the article which bears remembering. After all, there is a wide universe of clowns out there, and none should be held responsible for other’s actions (especially fictional clowns!)

“When we see a wicked parent or child in a movie, do we start hating all parents and kids? Clown is a diverse world. There are many clowns who are not nice. There are many more that are super nice. Clowns are a mirror of “society,” and therefore, there are nice clowns, mean clowns, pretty clowns, ugly clowns, smart clowns, stupid clowns, scary clowns, sexy clowns, and so many more. “
