FUNAMBOLIKA is the 4th summer season of circus arts conceived by director and writer Raffaele De Ritis. It takes place in Pescara, in the 1200 seats Teatro D´Annunzio, one of Italy’s most prestigious summer arenas, that in the last 58 years hosted the world’s greatest names of the theatre, dance, opera and jazz.
In the three past editions, Funambolika hosted dozens of circus and comedy stars including Jango Edwards, David Larible, Peter Shub, Jigalov and Mironov, Curatola bros., Avner, Boul, Aurelia Cats, Oleg Izossimov, Creature company, Scuola di Cirko, Duel, Victor Kee, Golden Powers among others.

Monday July 12
GRAN GALA DU CIRQUE 2010
A unique Gala featuring international talents and award winners. Ten acts including clown Rob Torres, quick-change duo Minasov, contorsionist Andrey Romanovski, trapeze duo Tempo Rouge, handstand Encho Koryazov. Co-produced with Alessandro Serena’s Circo e Dintorni company.
Tuesday July 13
GARDI HUTTER
One of the world’s leading female clowns in her legendary solo piece “Johanna of HarpPo”.
Wednesday July 14
CIRCUS KLEZMER
The worldwide acclaimed company from Barcelona, blending yiddish live music, acrobatics, aerials, juggling and a lot of comedy.
Each show at Teatro D’Annunzio – Lungomare C. Colombo, Pescara – 9.00 PM
